[edit] An earlier example

Raymond Keene points out RétiSpielmann Vienna 1928 as an earlier example.[1][2] We should probably mention this in the article. The arrangement of the major pieces is slightly different (the queen is in the middle), but the final position is strikingly similar. 165.189.91.148 17:21, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

It is quite a normal formation and happens in many games. If it's directed at the enemy king, the formation with the queen in the middle is generally strongest. Guido den Broeder (talk) 17:44, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
