Why is it a surprise that George Bush has Alejandro on his play list? Perhaps it's just because he spent several years in Austin, which is, incidently, Alejandro's home, where he is legendary. I guess I wonder why this statement should be included.--Tomwithanh 02:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

That's the least of the problems with this article. It covers the right basic points, but a lot of the word choice and such is just fan gush; it reads like the contributors either have never read WP:NPOV or hold it in contempt. Also, it's missing a lot of essential elements like his birthdate and a discography. I don't know enough about him to fix it myself, having only just recently discovered Escovedo's music, but someone really should; he deserves a better article. Hepatitis C is incurable, so I'm confused about the part that says free of the disease in 2005.

I removed this passage: " It's a testament to the respect with which Alejandro is held as an artist and as a person" from the section on the benefit for him, since it is just more of the same "fan-gush" mentioned above. 24.151.79.108 21:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
