all the people listed as discoverers of the structure of DNA have a box with the list of their co-discoverers in, but the list differs between each member, as does the format.

I don't understand this
- He retired from King's in 1982 and continued to work on publications, including the books 'The Theory of the Optical Properties of Inhomogeneous Materials' (1963) and 'The Principles of Atomic and Nuclear Physics' (1972).
If he retired in 1982, how did he continue to work on publications from one and two decades earlier? Were they subsequent editions, or is this just written in an unfortunate and chronologically jumbled way? Maybe the retirement date should be 1962?
