Alexis Petridis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alexis Petridis is the chief music writer for UK newspaper The Guardian, as well as a regular contributor to the magazine GQ. He was the final editor of now defunct music magazine Select; he also writes a weekly column in the fashion section of The Guardian's Weekend section. Petridis has attracted both praise and criticism. In November 2006 he won an award in the "Artist and Music Features: Writer Of The Year" category at the Record of the Day awards. In the past his writing has frequently been attacked by bloggers, music fans and fellow critics on the notorious I Love Music boards and on The Guardian’s own discussion site, Guardian Talk.[who?]
