Alexey Zhigalkovich

Alexey Zhigalkovich (born April 18, 1996) is a Belarusian singer. He participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and won with one point more than the Armenian runner up. He sang the song S druz'yami, about friendship. It was a song with a fast tempo and energetic dancing.

Alexey was born in Minsk on the 18th April 1996. His father is 35, he is a heart surgeon. In childhood, his dad finished a musical school (he played accordion), was a soloist of a choir. His mother is 35, she is a doctor as well, in her childhood she also finished a musical school (violin). Alexey has a younger sister. She is 6 years old, and she practices dances.

Alexey lives in Minsk. He began to sing at the age of 5 and at 6, he entered a musical school in Minsk where he has been practicing piano. Some famous Belarusian singers were his singing instructors. At 10 Alexey began to take part in some performances of National Musical Theatre. Also Alexey participates in children vocal group Veryasyata. Alexey's favourite musician is Belarusian singer, Dmitry Koldun, who took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 for Belarus.

Alexey's hobbies are listening to music, reading, football, and billiards. His favourite books are the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. Since he was 9, Alexey has written songs. He is a prize-winner of several international musical contests in Belarus, Italy and Bulgaria.
