Alexey Root

Dr. Alexey Root (born 1965) was the 1989 U.S. Women's Chess Champion. She holds the title of Woman International Master. Ms. Root is a personable woman who has done much to teach chess to both adults and children. She currently lives in Texas with her husband International Master Doug Root and their children.
