Alexandria High School (Alabama)

Alexandria High School is a public high school located in Alexandria, Alabama, USA. Alexandria High School is part of the Calhoun County School System. They educate students in grades 9-12.

The school's mascot is the Valley Cub. The school colors are orange and black.

The mission of AHS, in partnership with the family and community, is to offer a quality educational foundation, which will provide each student the opportunity to succeed academically and to develop emotionally in order to reach the student's potential in a changing society.

The school is home to a Science Club, Seniors Scholars Bowl, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Government Association, Spanish Club, Math Club, a school newspaper production ("Bear Facts"), Future Farmers of America, FCCLA, the "SADD" program, Honor society, a Christian Club, Builders Club, Key Club, State-level choir, and a superior, award-winning marching band (the "Sound of the Valley"), which has met the requirements and passed state contest amongst concert bands in Alabama for 4 years as of April 2007.
