Alexandre Mnouchkine

Alexandre Mnouchkine (10 February 1908, St Petersburg - 3 April 1993, Neuilly-sur-Seine) was a French film producer.
After his entry into cinema in 1932, he created Ariane Films in 1945. Alexandre Mnouchkine married twice, the second time to the comédienne Simone Renant. He is the father of Ariane Mnouchkine.
He was producer on 50 films, including:
- L'Aigle à deux têtes by Jean Cocteau (1948),
- Fanfan la Tulipe by Christian-Jaque (1952),
- The Name of the Rose by Jean-Jacques Annaud (1986),
- 6 films directed by Claude Lelouch,
- 10 films directed by Philippe de Broca, including L'Homme de Rio,
- La Révolution française - episode "Les Années Lumière" by Robert Enrico...
