Alexander Wolff

Alexander Wolff is a writer for Sports Illustrated and owner of the Vermont Frost Heaves of the Premier Basketball League (PBL).

He has written several books about basketball, among them Big Game, Small World (ISBN 0-446-52601-0), a look at basketball around the world. His most notable, & also most notorious work was the feature article in Sports Illustrated from June 12, 1995 entitled "Why the University of Miami should drop football." After Butch Davis restored the prestige & order to the program, the Hurricanes went on to win national championships in 2001, & has produced more first-round draft picks than any other school since the article's publication.
