Alexander Kogan (Russian: Александр Коган), (born May 10, 1974 in Odessa) is an Israeli Russian-speaking journalist.

Repatriated to Israel on Dec.18 1990. Married, have a son. Chief editor at the daily "Mnenia" (Opinions - the only Russian speaking web magazine in Israel). Analyst and correspondent for The Jerusalem Post. Analyst and columnist for several leading popular newspapers, magazines, news agencies in Russia - APN, Rosbalt, Russky Zhurnal, Ytro, Agentura, etc. An expert of the kreml.org (Russian governmental project). Well known among the Russian journalists, and editors.

Consulted Jerusalem Post and participated in several TV programs on all of the Israeli TV channels and several TV channels and radio stations in Russia. Lectured to the Russian journalists who arrived in Israel on Foreign Ministry's program. Acted as PR expert on several election campaigns in Israel.

Worked for "TzaMaM" analytical research company, collecting and analyzing data on political, economical and security issues in Southern Asia; coordinated and conducted daily reviewing of the activities of the ex-Warsaw bloc secret services and several other issues.

Ex-Deputy chief editor of the Israeli Russian language media concern "Novosty Nedeli", the biggest beyond the bounds of Russia. Interviewed several high-ranking Israeli, American and Russian politicians and officials (Ariel Sharon, Benyamin Netanyahu, Richard Pearl, James Steinberg, Douglas Feith, etc.)

B.A., Political Science, English Language and Literature, University of Haifa, Israel. 1980-1990 - Odessa's English High School number 9, qualified "guide interpreter". Participated in the first USSR-USA and USSR-Canada students exchange programs (honorary citizen of the USA). Graduated with a silver medal.

IDF Liaison Unit (represents the IDF and implements IDF policy before foreign forces stationed in the area; today is a part of Foreign Relations Dept. in the Military Intelligence Corps), analysis and research dept. During the service worked with the representatives of the foreign аrmies and Multinational peacekeeping forces.
