Alexander Gerndt (born 1986 in Sweden) is a Swedish football player who currently plays for AIK. He plays either as an attacking left-midfielder or a striker.
He came through the youth system at Visby Gute, a club based on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. He grew up in the city of Visby. His sweet left foot is also a good weapon - he can put in a good cross and is always dangerous when running at defenders.
If Gerndt can continue his development he has a good chance of becoming one of the best player ever to come out from the island. Jesper Mattsson, a former Swedish international, used to play for Halmstads BK and Nottingham Forest is perhaps the most famous native Gotland footballer who managed to make the grade as a professional.
