Alexander Bonde

Alexander Bonde (born January 12, 1975 in Freiburg) is a German politician and member of Alliance '90/The Greens in the Bundestag.
As a member of the Bundestag, he represents his constituency 284 Emmendingen-Lahr, a rural area in the Black Forest that covers 41 municipalities in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Bonde was first elected in 2002 and was reelected in 2005.
Bonde serves on the Defense Committee and on the Budget&Appropriations Committee. He is vice-chairman of the German-American Parliamentry Group and vice-chairman of the Aviation&Space Caucus of the German Bundestag.
On the Budget&Appropriations Committee Alexander Bonde serves as “rapporteur-general” for economic cooperation and development(the equivalent to chairing a small subcommittee) as “rapporteur” (equivalent to being a member of a small subcommittee) for defence, homeland security and foreign affairs.
In 1992 and 1993 Bonde was an exchange student at Kahuku High School (Oahu, Hawaii, USA). Today he is a regular participant in German-American and German-Asian activities.
