Alexander Beglov

Alexander Dmitriyevich Beglov (Russian: Алекса́ндр Дми́триевич Бегло́в, b. May 19, 1956, in Baku, Soviet Union) is a Russian politician and businessman.
In 1999–2002, Beglov served as the Head of the Kurortny District of Saint Petersburg.
In 2002–2003, he was a First Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg, Head of the Chancellery of the Saint Petersburg City Administration. In June–October of 2003, after the resignment of Vladimir Yakovlev, he was acting Governor of Saint Petersburg. Simultaneously, in 2003–2004 he was the secretary of the United Russia political party in Saint Petersburg. Since May 27, 2004, he has been the Chief of the Control Directorate of the Russian presidential administration and an aide to President Vladimir Putin.
