Alexandre Plante (born May 9, 1989 in Brandon, Manitoba) is an ice hockey defenceman. He plays for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League, and was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers 15th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Alex is the son of former National Hockey League defenceman Cam Plante. His brother Tyler Plante is a goaltender for the Brandon Wheat Kings, whose National Hockey League rights belong to the Florida Panthers.
