Alex Metreveli

Alexander Metreveli (Georgian: ალექსანდრე მეტრეველი; Russian: Александр Ираклиевич Метревели – Aleksandr Iraklievich Metreveli) (born November 2, 1944 in Tbilisi, Georgia) was a Soviet (and ethnic Georgian) amateur tennis player. He is probably best known for making the final at Wimbledon in 1973, where he lost to Jan Kodes of Czechoslovakia.

Metreveli was a member of the Dynamo sports society. He competed in professional tour events during the 1970s.
