Alex MacGillivray

Alex MacGillivray is head of programmes at AccountAbility,[1] and has previously served as deputy director of the New Economics Foundation,[2] and an associate at the Institute for Social and Ethical Accountability. MacGillivray has worked for many national governments and multinational companies, as well as UN agencies and is the author of a book titled, A Brief History of Globalization, in which he discusses the concepts of Global Intent and globalization. MacGillivray has twenty years experience working on corporate responsibility and sustainable development. He was one of the co-authors of the research study, Low Flying Heroes, whose title stems from the notion that community activists operate mostly under the official radar that monitors community development.
