Alex Holzwarth

Alex Holzwarth (born 4th October, 1968 in Landshut, Germany) is the drummer of the German progressive metal band Sieges Even (for which his brother Oliver plays bass as well).

Alex started playing drums at the age of ten. The first instrument that he bought was a Troyan Drum with Paiste hi-hats. His first drummer teacher was Seppl Niemeyer

Before playing with Sieges Even he played with Angra, Paradox, Looking Glass Self. He also played with bands like Rhapsody Of Fire (Alex started with Rhapsody Of Fire in 2000, when Daniele Carbonera left the band), Val'Paraiso, Blind Guardian, Dol Ammad and Avantasia.
