Alex Flanagan

Alex Flanagan is an American sports journalist, who is a graduate of the University of Arizona.

As of February 2008, she is a reporter for the NFL Network. As reporter, it is her job to break news during the day on NFL Network Now which is an update segment. Flanagan came to NFL Network in early 2006 after spending five years at ESPN. At ESPN, she worked as sideline reporter for college football and was also reported on programs such as SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight. Alex was also a TV anchor for one of Alabama's most reputable TV stations, WSFA Channel 12, in Montgomery before her career at ESPN.

Starting in September of 2007, Alex will be the sideline reporter for the Notre Dame home football games on NBC.

When host Rich Eisen is unavailable, Alex often hosts "NFL Total Access," an hourly show on the NFL Network that recaps games from the preceding week and previews upcoming action.

Alex is a native of Sonoita, Arizona. She is married to Kevin Flanagan, a former University of Arizona basketball player. They have two daughters.
