Alessandro Antonelli was a famous Italian architect of the 19th century. His most famous works are the Mole Antonelliana in Torino (named for him) and the Basilica of St. Gaudenzio in Novara. Antonelli studied in Milan and Torino. After winning a competition he went to Rome, where he continued his studies.
