Aleksandr Rou

Aleksandr Arthurovich Rou (Russian: Александр Артурович Роу, February 24, 1906, Sergiev Posad, Moscow, Russian Empire - December 28, 1973, Moscow, USSR) was a Soviet film director, People's Artist of RSFSR (1968). He worked primarily in fairy-tale genre.

Since 1930 worked at Mezhrabpomfilm as an assistant director to Yakov Protazanov on the films Marionetki (1934) and Bespridannitsa (1937) as well as with other directors.

Since 1937 worked at Soyuzdetfilm, later known as Gorky Film Studio
