Aleksander Sochaczewski (March 3, 1843April 15, 1923) is a Polish painter, participant of the Polish January Uprising (1863) against the Russian Empire, exiled to Siberia. He is known for his paintings of the uprising and the Siberian katorga and exile.[1]
