Alejandro Botero (born August 18, 1980 in Pereira, Colombia) is a Colombian football goalkeeper. He currently plays for San Martín de San Juan in Argentina.
Botero started his career with Deportivo Cali in Colombia where there were high hopes for him, in 2002 he moved to Argentina to play for Independiente he was part of the squad that won the Apertura 2002 tournament, but he rarely played in the first team. Botero then stepped down a division to play for Argentinos Juniors. At the end of the 2003-2004 seasonwere promto the Primera, but Botero left in 2005 due to lack of first team football.
He joined Deportivo Cali but was third choice keeper [1]. In 2006 Botero returned to Argentina to join San Martín (SJ) where he experienced his second promotion to the Primera Division, but as of September 2007 has remained a fringe player.
