Alec Hunter Humanities College (formerly known as Alec Hunter High School) is a comprehensive secondary school, located in Braintree, Essex. It is a mixed school, with no denominational Religion. The School currently educates students from the age of 11-16. The current head teacher is Andrew Hutchinson. The school has a Humanities college Status and specialises in English, History and Citizenship. The school was opened in the 1960s and is named after Alec Hunter who founded the school. The school performs well below average at GCSE.
