Mr. Tatangelo has notability in South Texas. He was elected mayor of a city of 200,000 (today) three times. He had an extensive record in city government. He is also a philanthropist. He had a successful business career prior to being mayor. He lived in Rhode Island before moving to Texas and also had business interests in Mexico. Frankly, if he is deleted, I don't see how any of other Laredo entries could stand because few have notability outside of Laredo. I am surprised that someone would challenge this article which was posted in the summer of 2006. There are also articles on two other Laredo mayors too. The article is well written.
