[edit] Notable Alderson loops

The text in this section is awfully similar to the Jargon File link. --Thinboy00 @158, i.e. 02:46, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] quoting verbatim... without quote marks?

We have quoted Jargon File here, but without quote marks. That is problematic. This is not the only page that does this. We need a policy on this that rules one way or the other, but I'm too tired now to either find the policy in question, or to try and figure out consensus. --Thinboy00 @256, i.e. 05:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Being in the jargon file does not mean people actually use the phrase

I did a Google search and as far as I can tell, the only uses of this phrase in clones of either the jargon file or wikipedia. (That is once I excluded snippets of the definition from the search there was nothing left.) There are no actual uses of the phrase. Some of the items in the jargon file were inserted as jokes or in attempt to create usage or perhaps in this case to remind a programmer named Alderson of a bug. I recommend deleting this entry. 71.112.37.116 (talk) 15:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
