Aldrans is a village community near Innsbruck, Austria in the Tyrol. The village lies on a highlands terrace south-eastern of the capital. Aldrans was mentioned for the first time in 1312.
A conflagration nearly destroyed the village in 1893. At the edge of the village a broadcasting station was constructed in 1927. It was modernized in 1984 for TV and radio transmission as well as for the Internet. A small lake, the Herzsee, can be found in the middle of Aldrans which is mainly used for fish breeding.
