Aldo Piga

Music composer 1928-1994 New York USA

Maestro Aldo Piga was a music composer which work was mainly produced in the 50's and 60's in Italy. He started as a song composer and later approached the movie soundtrack field. His participation in the pop-music Italian market counts with two participation in the famous contest Sanremo, one of which was overshadowed in the year of the famous Modugno's Volare song. In the movies soundtrack he scored about one hundred films of which is available a main list below.His activity as a composer was strongly influenced by classical music and jazz be-bop roots of his early years in the music scene of the big-apple. After a promising career as a music writer, he decided to start working as a film producer in the late 60's. This change lead to an end in both his careers as a writer and producer. In the 90's left Italy retire in New York where he spent his last days until 1994.
