Aldein (Italian: Aldino; Archaic (1928-1955 AD): Valdagno di Trento; Archaic (1340 AD): Aldein; Archaic (1170 AD): Aldinum; Archaic (1160 AD): Aldeni) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 40 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 15 km south of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,674 and an area of 63.2 km².[1]

The municipality of Aldein contains the frazione (subdivision) Redagno (Radein).

Aldein borders the following municipalities: Bronzolo, Carano, Daiano, Montan, Deutschnofen, Auer, Truden and Varena.
