[edit] Alcibiades as Socrates' most brilliant student
I take issue with the statement, "Plato presents Alcibiades as Socrates' most brilliant student." In my opinion, Plato presents Alcibiades as a profligate and a hedonist. While Socrates is attracted to Alcibiades, I'm not sure he would say that Alcibiades is his most brilliant student. Compare him with someone like Theatetus. Therefore I'm changing the wording of the sentence. --Erickroh 02:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Nothing about Alcibiades in Thucydides, surely a major primary source?
