Alcithoe davegibbsi is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Volutidae.

This species is endemic to the north of the North Island of New Zealand.

This volute lives at depths of about 43 m.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is ovate, with a mamillate protoconch of two and a half whorls, immersed in the first teleoconch whorl. Teleoconch of four whorls, sculptured with poorly developed axial ribs. It differs from Alcithoe hedleyi by having a broader, more squat shell, much less developed axial ornamentation, and a larger, mamillate protoconch.
The shell colour is a reddish-tan background overlaid with zigzag dark brown parallel markings, and with three darker oblique broad bands visible on the body whorl only.
The shell height is up to 60 mm.
