Alcheringa (festival)

Alcheringa is a national level annual cultural festival held once a year at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India. It is fully student managed. Generally Alcheringa is held in the first week of February and lasts four days. It consists of several competitions, informal events, workshops and professional performances.

The word "Alcheringa" comes from the Australian aboriginal language of the Aruntas. It is roughly translated to mean: "the Eternal Dreamtime", [1]
