[edit] Fictional character biography

[edit] Origin

Catherine Larchmont-Price was the most popular, and beautiful girl at Patriot City University. She believed in little besides her ability to make men drool, and wandered through life disdainful of the beliefs of others, especially those of her strange, and somewhat square, roommate, Emily. Then one night, Catherine had a strange dream. In it, the statue of Emily's "Goddess" came to life, and told her that she was to be the Goddess' emissary, battling against evil and corruption in her name. She awoke to find herself clutching the statue, which radiated an eerie purple glow.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. It seemed that one of the many boys she flirted with had made his way to her dormroom ins a drunken stupor and decided to win her affections by any means possible. After he tried to force himself upon her, Catherine's powers manifested, and she hurled him out a window with a mystic force bolt. Seeing the effects of this magic first hand, she decided to heed the words the Goddess had told her previously, and become a force for good, thus adopting the name The Alchemiss.

[edit] Joining Freedom Force

Shortly after discovering her new powers, Alchemiss heard reports of dinosaurs rampaging in downtown Patriot City. As she hurried to investigate the scene, she was confronted by the members of Freedom Force. Mentor discerned that only she could close the mysterious time portals that had allowed the dinosaurs to come through. Unknown to them, this was simply the first of many tests Time Master would set against them. After defeating the dinosaurs and sealing the time portals, Alchemiss returned to the Freedom Fortress and was offered a place on the team. She agreed to join the team and continued to fight the forces of evil alongside her new allies.

[edit] Powers

[edit] Alchemiss

As Alchemiss, Catherine displayed an ever-growing command of magic and sorcery that granted her a host of abilities. She could hurl bolts of mystical energy, create magical barriers around herself, temporarily banish foes to other dimensions, and cast various curses and hexes on her enemies. She also had the ability to close dimensional and temporal rifts. Later she would display what Mentor would refer to as "rudimentary precognition", manifesting itself as psychic visions.

Early in her career, Alchemiss displayed the ability to levitate herself as a means of transportation, but she was later able to refine this ability into full fledged flight.

It is unknown whether or not her powers were gained directly from Energy X, or is her exposure to it simply awakened her connection to other mystical forces.

[edit] Entropy

After absorbing power from Time Master, and drawing on deeper stores of her own power, Alchemiss became the embodiment of chaos, known as Entropy. At this point her powers were vastly amplified. Entropy is able to warp the very fabric of reality through the sheer force of her will and is able to project beams of various types of energy. In addition to this, she also commanded an endless army of Chaos Wraiths.
