Alcala is a 4th class municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 33,997 people in 7,025 households.

This town is known well for its Saint Philomene Church, regarded as the widest church in the Cagayan Valley.

This town is the home of the current provincial governor, Alvaro Antonio, who was also a mayor for several decades.
