Possible image pairing: a simple album --[[User:AllyUnion|AllyUnion (talk)]] 08:34, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It is strange that the icon for Album stubs is a picture of a single! ---Isaac R 23:40, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Other Icons

I'd like to propose that we use an icon from the library of GNUFDL icons that have been uploaded into the commons.

Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 10:03, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree. I'd go for the fist one. Cristan 09:31, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
All other similar templates (ie. {{hiphop-album-stub}}, {{jazz-album-stub}}, {{rock-album-stub}}, etc.) all use Image:Nuvola devices cdaudio unmount.png, and that should be the same case here. I am requesting unprotection, and will effect that onto the template if it goes through. If it does go though, I also ask that no one change the image, because:
  1. It doesn't need to differ from the other templates, and
  2. This template should not have to be fully-protected again, it's ridiculous.
Thanks. -- Reaper X 22:13, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Revert

I reverted this because it wasnt even discussed. Jobe6 Image:Peru flag large.png 01:02, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

I'm curious what you consider all of the above to be. Besides, the rule around here is to be bold; Template:Album-stub is hardly an official policy page. —Cryptic (talk) 02:42, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
I waited a whole day... no replies. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 09:35, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
If no one objects, I'll change it back tomorrow, the 22nd. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 04:10, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
I like it. Instead of displaying the record single image it's now an icon that pretty much means media in general form. The album stub image now makes more sense. Douglasr007 00:29, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Changed again, Nov 7

I liked the one with the CD and the little musical note, first on the left in that sequence above. It was like that for the last little while. What happened to it? Why was it changed to the old vinyl one? Can we change it back? I did notice the change initially, but assumed there was discussion etc, so I didn't bother to come here and look. --Qirex 02:35, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Fine. I'll change it back. --Hottentot
Sorry, Hottentot, I hope I haven't annoyed you, I didn't mean to, I just think there should be discussion, that's all. If you prefer the other one, maybe other people do, too, and I was trying to see whether there what the preference was among everyone --Qirex 03:13, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
No, it's ok. The new image looks nice. --Hottentot
Agreed, it is appealing. I especially like the musical note. Jkelly 18:54, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Template lock

So, uh, when's it gonna be unlocked? Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 07:50, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Seconded. Or else, I suggest that someone who has the ability to do so, add a link to the Wiki Project on Albums. Cassandra Leo 09:30, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Please, please don't. — Mar. 19, '06 [23:40] <freakofnurxture|talk>

[edit] Damage

Why does this template cause any categories in the topic where its placed to be completely underlined? See (Like) Linus, for example; everything in the "categories" box is underlined. This happens in the template's own page, too. Is it a good idea to lock a template that damanges so many articles? --Mikeblas 15:26, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit request: adding image

Edit: Please add Image:Nuvola devices cdaudio unmount.png to the template similar to related templates (ie. {{hiphop-album-stub}}, {{jazz-album-stub}}, {{rock-album-stub}}, etc.). -- Reaper X 02:49, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

There was already an image. It was commented out by User:RedWolf [1], [2] in November 2005. I suggest you ask RedWolf for his current opinion on this. --Ligulem 11:32, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I have got no response from Redwolf. Could another admin do this? -- Reaper X 20:49, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I commented out the image in November 2005 to reduce load on the servers, which were having some performance issues at the time. I don't see any reason why the image cannot be restored so I have done so. RedWolf 19:58, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
