[edit] Tuscany, part of Italy?

I have embarked on a crusade to add the name of the nation to relevent articles lacking same - but enough about me! Was Tuscany an autonomous region at the time of Alberti's life? If not, could Italy be included in the article somewhere? Thanks.LessHeard vanU 22:30, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
