Talk:Albertaceratops
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Medusaceratops" is here mentioned as synonym. As the name however has never been published with an intention of conferring a genus name to a certain fossil, it is not a synonym.--MWAK 10:41, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- It was known as such, though. Should the taxobox mention be removed, then? The place in the article where it is mentioned does not explicitely call it a taxonomic synonym. J. Spencer 14:50, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

- Removing the taxobox mention would be best. As it is now, it's ambiguous. Many will at first blush assume it's a junior synonym. Why else would it be in a taxobox? :o).--MWAK 07:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- OK, it's done. J. Spencer 14:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry, Mr Nesmo. Your 15 minutes are up.
"The dinosaur's current species' name, A. nesmoi, is derived from the name of Cecil Nesmo, a rancher ..." With all due respect to Mr. Nesmo, it seems unlikely that a separate Wikipedia article on him is merited. -- 201.51.231.176 20:49, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
