Talk:Albert Boscov
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to Boscov's, Solomon Boscov is the founder, and Albert is a former chairman. --Gray Porpoise 16:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
I added a link to this page from The Mall at Steamtown. Brad E. Williams 12:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
I corrected this page on Feb 22, 2007, to remove what I perceive a distortion of this man's record. I replaced with a simple description of his current efforts. (User: Brian Fichthorn)
That was a complete POV entry that had nothing to back it up with.
If you are going to remove banners, please be sure that the concerns of those who put it there have been satisfied. Simply to remove them to give your information some sort of false credibility is not a viable solution. You may want to read up on the ins and outs of this site before continuing to change information on articles. And the truth shall set you free! 02:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I will say it again to DirtyBirdy this time, no changes were made the site to satisfy the concerns of the previous individual concerning the reliability of the website sourced. This is not about neutrality. The website in question is hardly reputable. When the person who initially put the banner in place is satisfied they can remove the banner. Continued attempts by you to remove it before such time will be reported to the admins immediately. The information you want presented is there for all to see DirtyBirdy, but you must admit there is nothing on the 'wehirealiens' website to illustrate any level of reliablity. And the truth shall set you free! 18:09, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Living persons
Please read WP:LIVING before readding the allegations of immigration law violations I just removed from the article. That's potentially libelous and can place the Wikimedia Foundation in legal danger. You need a better reference than a special-interest web site's smear list. Dppowell 02:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Illegal Alien Exploitation
Even if the allegations are true, Albert Boscov was no longer acting as chair of the company at the time that edit was made (whether or not he was when the incident described on that site occurred, I can't say). For that matter, even when he was, he was not involved directly with hiring practices (besides which, having one employee show anger management problems and refuse to speak English for whatever reason does not mean the company makes a practice of hiring illegal aliens). If this is going to be placed on Wikipedia, which I'm not sure it should, it would do much better at Boscov's than here. Noble 14:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Take the time to add to the page if you think there is too little information. I am unsure why someone who just created an username like yourself would be so inclined to start proposing deletions instead of doing what this site is about and adding information to improve the articles. I took the first step, now maybe you and others can take it further. And the truth shall set you free! 02:27, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
