The Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (Alb Valley transport company, AVG) is a company, which is owned 100% by the city of Karlsruhe and operates rail and bus services in the Karlsruhe area. It operates Stadtbahn Karlsruhe passenger rail services, some of the Karlsruhe region’s bus services and conveys freight by road and rail. It also operates a travel agency and builds and maintains part railway lines it operates over.
