The Albin Polasek House and Studio (also known as the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden) is a historic site in Winter Park, Florida, United States. It is located at 633 Osceola Avenue. On May 2, 2000, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The museum includes Polasek's former retirement home, studio, galleries, and chapel, as well as surrounding gardens containing figurative sculpture and mythological pieces. The permanent collection of approximately 400 pieces includes sculpture by Polasek, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Charles Grafly, and Ruth Sherwood, as well as antiquities from Polasek's collection.
On April 16, 2006, the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens presented "Easter Pysanky: Decorated Eggs of Europe" in the Lakeview Gallery of the Polasek Residence. On display were approximately 120 examples of this art form, including both traditional painted eggs and hand-painted modern European interpretations. Painted eggs were once often given as gifts at births, engagements, weddings, in time of sickness and when wishing someone well. Eggs became associated with Easter following the introduction of Christianity to the Slavonic people.
