Alberto Perlman

Alberto Perlman is the co-founder and CEO of Zumba Fitness[1], a fast growing aerobics-style fitness system founded in August of 2001 that incorporates Latin dancing and international rhythms. By January 2007, the company claimed to have over 5000 Zumba instructors and to have sold over 2.5 million DVDs. Prior to founding Zumba, Perlman attended Babson College, then held a job at the Mitchell Madison Group, a New York consulting firm.. In 1999, at the age of 22, he founded a media technology incubator, Spydre Labs, which spawned several technology companies in Latin America and worked with partners such as Merrill Lynch and the WPP Group.
