Alberto Naselli

Alberto Naselli of Bergano, also known as Zan Ganassa, was an important figure in the early development of the commedia dell'arte theatre in Italy. Naselli organised some of the most substantial travelling troupes of artists, including the first troupe to tour France. He is also the first recorded person to play the character of Harlequin (the Arlecchino).
