Alberto Junior Rodríguez Valdelomar, known simply as Rodríguez, nicknamed El mudo (mute) (born March 31, 1984 in Lima), is a Peruvian international footballer currently with Sporting de Braga in the Superliga as a central defender.

Rodriguez started his career in Deportivo Wanka but was quickly taken to Sporting Cristal. On December 28, 2006, he signed a five year deal with Portuguese Liga oufit Sporting Clube de Braga and, on February 18, 2007, played his first league match for Braga against U.D. Leiria.[1]

Rodríguez started representing Peru during the qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup, and quickly became a defensive cornerstone. He represented the nation in Copa América 2007.
