Alberta municipal elections, 2007

Municipal elections were held in Alberta, Canada on October 15, 2007. Mayors, councillors, and trustees from across the province - with the exception of Lloydminster, which is located partially in Saskatchewan and elected its municipal officers on Saskatchewan's schedule - will be elected.

[edit] Airdrie

In Airdrie, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and six councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also participate in electing two of the Rocky View School Division's seven trustees, as the division's Ward 3 includes part of the city and its Ward 5 is located entirely within the city. Finally, it will participate in the election of one trustee to the Calgary Catholic School District, as the trustee who represents Calgary's wards 3 and 5 also represents Airdrie.

In Brooks, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and six councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also participate in electing the Grasslands Regional Division No. 6's six trustees. Finally, it will participate in the election of one trustee to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 3, who will represent Brooks, Bassano, Tilley, Duchess, Millicent, Patricia, Rainier, Scandia, Rolling Hills, and the surrounding area.

The 2007 Calgary municipal election will take place on 15 October, 2007. This will be a joint election with the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Roman Catholic Separate School District No. 1. There is one position opened for mayor and 14 ward positions as alderman. All but one of the incumbents are running again in this election.

In Camrose, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and eight councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect two of the Battle River Regional Division No. 31's seven trustees and one of the Elk Island Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 41's seven trustees.

In Cold Lake, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and six councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect three of the Northern Lights School Division No. 69's eight trustees and three of the Lakeland Roman Catholic Separate School District No. 150's seven trustees.

The 2007 municipal election will be held October 15, 2007 to elect a mayor and twelve councillors to Edmonton City Council, nine trustees to the public school board, and seven trustees to the separate school board.[1]

In Fort Saskatchewan, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and six councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect two of the Elk Island Public Schools Regional Division No. 14's nine trustees and one of the Elk Island Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 41's seven trustees.

In Grande Prairie, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and eight councillors, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elected the Grande Prairie School District No. 2357's five trustees and the Grande Prairie Roman Catholic Separate School District No. 28's six trustees.

In Leduc, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and six aldermen, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect two of the Black Gold Regional Schools' seven trustees and three of the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 38's nine trustees.

In Lethbridge, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and eight aldermen, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect the Lethbridge School District No. 51's seven trustees and five of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 4's nine trustees.

In Medicine Hat, the elections will elect a city council consisting of a mayor and eight aldermen, all of whom will be elected at large. It will also elect the Medicine Hat School District No. 76's five trustees and the Medicine Hat Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 20's five trustees.
