Highway 40 (also called Bighorn Highway) is a north-south highway located in western Alberta extending from the city of Grande Prairie southward to Coleman with several breaks in the highway where it is named Highway 734 or Highway 940. The intention is that the entire road will become a provincial paved highway, although it is already paved from Grande Prairie to the hamlet of Cadomin.
The 66-km long section running through the Kananaskis Country provincial park is called Kananaskis Trail.
