Albert Dubois-Pillet

Albert Dubois-Pillet (Paris, October 28, 1846 - Le Puy, August 18, 1890), was a French painter and army officer.

He graduated from the École Impériale Militaire at Saint-Cyr in 1867, and fought the Franco-Prussian War, during which he was made prisoner by the Germans. After the war, he started painting , was instrumental in establishing the Société des Artistes Indépendants and Neo-Impressionism.
