Alberdi is a city in the Ñeembucú Department, Paraguay.
The city is located along the Paraguay River. The name of the city pays homage to the Argentine writer Juan Bautista Alberdi who always voiced his sympathy and support towards Paraguay during the War of the Triple Alliance.
Most of the city is part of the region of the Lake Ypoá, with rich ecology and beautiful landscapes. The most important characteristic of the city is its commerce with Argentine city Formosa, which sits across the river.
