Albanian (horse)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are two types of native Albanian horse, which are referred to as Mountain and Myzeqea (plains). Due to recent interbreeding with the two types, the distinction is less clear. Though we know that the Myzeqea are exceptionally strong for its size and have an easily ridden ambling gait, making it useful as a long distance horse. The Myzeqea can get up to 13.2 hands tall well the smaller mountain breed is usually only about 12.2 to 12.3 hands tall.
