The stamps and postmarks of the exposition say "Alaska-Yukon-Pacific", but I'm supposed to be at work and can't investigate this yet. Stan 19:10 23 Jul 2003 (UTC)

There is a great deal of information on AYPE philatelic issues in Postal Markings of United States Expositions, by William J. Bomar. This is currently available (5/30/2005); one source is the Jim Mehrer's Postal History.

[edit] The campus

"The fair was set up on what is now the campus of the University of Washington, an area which was mostly undeveloped at the time." It only had a few buildings, but it had been the university campus for about a decade. The school was still pretty small. In any case, I think "what is now" should go. - 69.17.114.183 (talk) 07:07, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
