Alasdair Sinclair is a fictional character on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. He is played by Ray Coulthard.

Alasdair first appeared in early 2006 as Sadie King's new fiancee. Alasdair's mother Rosemary resented this and tried to persuade him against marrying her. On Alasdair's wedding day, Sadie's Ex-Brother-in-law, Matthew King gatecrashed the service to declare his love for Sadie. Even though the wedding went to plan, Sadie left Alasdair minutes later for Matthew.
Alasdair then left the village and returned several times. On of his most recent appearance was for the announcement of his mother's engagement to Matthew's father Tom King, who died on the wedding day, Christmas Day 2006.
Alasdair now resides in Dubai.
He returned for a brief while, on New Year's Day, 2008 to attend the funeral of their mother, who committed suicide on anniversary of the death of her second husband.
