Alan McNally, born in Dublin on 15 September 1982, is a footballer currently playing with Eircom League side UCD. Alan began his UCD career in centre midfield but soon took up a role at centre back. He performed well in defence for a number of seasons but was recently pushed back into centre midfield following a raft of midfield departures for UCD in the 2007 post-season. Alan has deputised as captain for UCD on a number of occasions. He is UCD's second longest serving player and is fourth on the club's all time leading league appearances list.
